Wichita Wagonmasters Chili Cookoff and Demo – 10/01/22

Attention all Kim’s Academy Students!

KABBA is once again sponsoring Mr. Scott McKinney into this year’s Wichita Wagonmasters Chili Cookoff, being held on Saturday, October 1st, 2022.  Chili tasting starts at Noon.  This is the 35th year for the event and in years past has drawn between 8,000 and 10,000 people.  Students can help in one of several ways:
  • Help with design, set up and decoration of the booth (and win the Best Booth prize!)
  • Generate excitement for spectators walking by the booth with a cheering section, promoting Kim’s Academy and showing your enthusiasm for Taekwondo (please wear your dobak for this).  If permitted we will also have a “mini-demo” in the section.

Remember, participation in demos and events is part of your progression in rank!  If you can participate please arrive by 10:15am.  Look for the Kim’s Academy flag at the booth located near the corner of St. Francis and Douglas.  Bring a water bottle, shoes, belt, and wear you dobak.

If you have any questions please contact Mr. McKinney by phone or text at  316-641-3010, by email at  kickutkd@gmail.com.  You can find information on following CDC guidelines here.
