Board Breaking and Holding Workshop

One of the requirements for passing a belt test is to perform a break of one or more boards using a foot or hand technique.  A successful break relies on understanding the proper breaking techniques.  Equally important is understanding the proper techniques for holding the boards.  Kim’s Academy is offering a workshop to demonstrate these techniques.

When:  Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 from 12:30 – 2:00pm
Location:  Kim’s Academy Main School, located at 1617 S. Longfellow in Wichita, KS
Cost: One non-perishable Food Bank donation (i.e. canned good or boxed dinner item)
Instructor:  Sr. Master Steve Hilburn

This event is open to all Kim’s Academy students.  Instructors are encouraged to attend for the benefit of your students who may be attending and also to gain insight into helping students with board breaking in the future.  You can download a flier for the event here.
